Pediatric Speech Therapy

From first words to full conversations — helping children find their voice through play-based, evidence-driven therapy.

What We Treat

Communication challenges we specialize in

Articulation & Phonological Disorders

Improving speech clarity, correcting sound substitutions, and building confident, intelligible speech so your child can be understood by family, teachers, and friends.

Language Delays & Disorders

Strengthening receptive and expressive language skills — from understanding directions and building vocabulary to forming sentences and telling stories.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech

We specialize in supporting children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), a motor speech disorder that makes it difficult to plan and coordinate the movements needed for clear speech. Therapy is individualized and highly engaging—using evidence-based motor planning approaches to build accurate and consistent speech production.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Therapy is individualized and may target language development, using language functionally in everyday life, and building skills for authentic connection. We support clients in learning to use AAC systems when appropriate, helping them communicate effectively across settings. We also work on understanding and improving pragmatic (social) language, including turn-taking, perspective-taking, and navigating real-world interactions.

Social Pragmatic Language

Building conversation skills, understanding body language, perspective-taking, and navigating social situations with confidence and comfort.

Fluency & Stuttering

Supportive, pressure-free therapy for children who stutter. We focus on building communication confidence while teaching strategies for smoother speech when desired.

AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication)

From picture boards to high-tech speech-generating devices, we help individuals who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally find their voice through the right AAC system.

Feeding Therapy

We support children who have difficulty with picky eating, limited food variety, or challenges with chewing and swallowing. Therapy focuses on building positive experiences with food, caregiver education, expanding diet variety, and developing the oral motor skills needed for successful eating.

Infant Feeding & Swallowing

Feeding your baby should feel natural, but for many families, it can be stressful and overwhelming. We provide expert, compassionate support for infants with feeding challenges, including breastfeeding and bottle difficulties, oral-motor delays, and transitioning to solids. Our therapists bring extensive NICU experience, allowing us to confidently guide families of both typically developing and medically complex infants. We partner with you to make mealtimes safer, more successful, and more enjoyable.

Our Approach

Play is how children learn best

At Milestones Matter, we believe kids learn best when therapy feels like play. Our pediatric speech therapy sessions are designed to be engaging, motivating, and fun — because a child who is excited to participate makes faster, more meaningful progress.

Every treatment plan is grounded in current research and individualized to your child's unique strengths, challenges, and personality. We use evidence-based methods including LAMP for apraxia, naturalistic language intervention, social thinking frameworks, and AAC integration.

Our family-centered approach means you are always part of the process. We provide coaching, home strategies, and regular updates so you feel confident supporting your child's growth between sessions. We listen to your concerns, respect your priorities, and celebrate every milestone together.
