OT Services

Occupational Therapy

Supporting children in developing the skills they need to thrive — from holding a crayon to navigating the sensory world around them.

What We Help With

Building skills for everyday life

Fine Motor Skills

Strengthening hand and finger coordination for tasks like cutting with scissors, buttoning clothes, using utensils, and manipulating small objects.

Sensory Processing

Helping children who are over- or under-responsive to sensory input learn to regulate and process the world around them more comfortably.

Daily Living Skills

Building independence in everyday tasks like dressing, feeding, grooming, and toileting so children can participate more fully at home.

Handwriting

Improving pencil grasp, letter formation, spacing, and the visual-motor skills needed for legible, efficient handwriting in the classroom.

Self-Care Skills

Supporting children in learning to manage buttons, zippers, shoe tying, teeth brushing, and other age-appropriate self-care tasks.

School Readiness

Preparing children for the motor, sensory, and organizational demands of the classroom — from sitting in a chair to managing a backpack.

Featured Space

Our Sensory Gym

Our Galveston location features a dedicated sensory gym designed specifically for occupational therapy. The space includes a ball pit, swing frame, climbing structures, and sensory stations that make therapy feel like an adventure.

The sensory gym allows our occupational therapists to work on vestibular processing, proprioception, motor planning, and sensory regulation in a safe, controlled environment that children love.

SOS Approach to Feeding

Beyond the Plate: A Compassionate Approach to Picky Eating

Mealtime should be a time for family connection, not a source of stress. If you are navigating challenges with a "picky eater" or a "problem feeder," our SOS (Sequential-Sensory-Oral) Approach to Feeding can help. We move beyond simply "eating the food" to address the sensory and physical foundations of feeding in a playful, no-pressure environment. By honoring each child's unique sensory needs and comfort levels, we help them build a happier, healthier relationship with food — one small bite at a time.
