Happy Fall from all of us at Milestones Matter! We have some exciting events and helpful tips to share with you this season. Here is what is happening at the clinic this October.
Halloween Costume Week
October 28 - November 1
Our therapists and kiddos are dressing up for Halloween Costume Week! We love seeing the creativity our families bring. Costumes are welcome (and encouraged) at all therapy sessions during this week. It is a wonderful opportunity to work on descriptive language, pretend play, and social interaction in a fun and festive way.
Sensory-Friendly Halloween Tips
October 21
Halloween can be overwhelming for children with sensory sensitivities. Here are a few ways to make the holiday more enjoyable for everyone:
- Practice wearing costumes at home before the big day
- Choose soft, comfortable costume fabrics and avoid masks
- Use social stories to prepare your child for trick-or-treating
- Have a quiet space ready if your child needs a break from the excitement
- Look for sensory-friendly trick-or-treat events in your community
Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch
October 25 - 26
Join us for our Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch event! This is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to enjoy fall activities, meet our team, and connect with other families. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for more details about times and activities.
We hope to see you and your family at one (or all!) of these fall events. Happy Halloween from Milestones Matter!
