Sarah Foreman, Owner & Director at Milestones Matter Therapy

Sarah Foreman

Owner & Director · M.A., CCC-SLP

Sarah is a wife, mom, and the Director and Owner of Milestones Matter Therapy. With over a decade of experience across a wide range of clinical settings—including early intervention, home health, schools, and private practice—she brings both deep clinical knowledge and genuine compassion to every family she serves.

Sarah is passionate about partnering with families and believes that the best outcomes happen when patients and families feel supported, confident, and empowered. Her approach is rooted in connection, collaboration, and creating meaningful, functional progress that carries over into everyday life.

She is deeply committed to lifelong learning and is always expanding her knowledge to better serve her clients and their families.

Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family. You’ll often find her hiking, paddleboarding, birding, gardening, or traveling—anything that allows her to connect with nature and the people she loves most.

Juliana Sodre Campos Tosta, Office Manager at Milestones Matter Therapy

Juliana Sodre Campos Tosta

Office Manager

Juliana is the Office Manager at Milestones Matter Therapy. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Finance.

Juliana began her professional career as a Controller Intern at Terral Company in Brazil and later worked as a Financial Analyst at Monsanto Brazil. She also spent three years teaching business at a technical school in Aparecida, São Paulo, which she found deeply rewarding.

At Milestones Matter Therapy, Juliana truly enjoys supporting clients and the team. She manages the medical billing and insurance processes to help ensure families are able to access and utilize their benefits for therapy services. She takes pride in helping make the administrative side of care as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Outside of work, Juliana loves spending time with her husband and her cat, Oliver. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, cooking, and going to estate sales on the weekends.

Erin Ludeke Andree, Infant & Pediatric Feeding Specialist at Milestones Matter Therapy

Erin Ludeke Andree

Infant & Pediatric Feeding Specialist · M.S., CCC-SLP

Erin is a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in infant and pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She is passionate about providing family-centered, compassionate care and partnering closely with families to support safe, successful feeding from the very beginning.

Erin has extensive experience working with medically fragile and premature infants, including those in NICU and acute care settings. Her clinical background includes supporting newborns with feeding challenges, infants with cleft lip and palate, and mothers navigating both breastfeeding and bottle feeding. She also has advanced experience completing instrumental swallow assessments (MBSS/VFSS and FEES) and working with medically complex infants who require specialized feeding support.

In addition to direct patient care, Erin has contributed to NICU quality improvement initiatives, participated in interdisciplinary teams, and trained healthcare providers in evidence-based feeding practices, including cue-based feeding approaches.

Her goal is to empower families with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to support their baby’s feeding journey, while also fostering early communication and developmental milestones in the earliest stages of life.

Janine Fisher, Speech-Language Pathologist | Hanen Certified at Milestones Matter Therapy

Janine Fisher

Speech-Language Pathologist | Hanen Certified · M.S., CCC-SLP

Janine is a Hanen-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for helping children, families, and educators build strong communication skills. She loves empowering caregivers and teachers with practical, effective strategies to create language-rich environments that support meaningful, functional communication.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 2000 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Tennessee in 2002. Janine has over 20 years of experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as extensive experience treating a wide range of pediatric and adult communication disorders. She has been treating patients on Saturdays at the Bellaire office for the past 15 years.

Her clinical experience includes individuals with articulation and language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, auditory processing challenges, hearing impairments and cochlear implants, oral-motor deficits, stuttering and fluency disorders, voice disorders, stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI), and autism spectrum disorder.

Janine has a strong background in parent and educator training and has led several Hanen programs, including It Takes Two to Talk® for parents of young children with language delays and Learning Language and Loving It™ for early childhood educators. She is passionate about working collaboratively with families and helping them feel confident and supported as they build their child’s communication skills across everyday routines.

Kinley Stokes, Speech-Language Pathologist at Milestones Matter Therapy

Kinley Stokes

Speech-Language Pathologist · M.S., CCC-SLP

Kinley is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2020 and her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2022.

She has experience working with a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, cognition, pragmatic language, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Kinley is especially passionate about working with non-verbal individuals of all ages who have complex communication needs.

She has extensive experience with both low-tech and high-tech AAC systems and truly enjoys continuing to grow her knowledge in this area. Kinley has completed specialized AAC trainings, including Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Moving Forward with LAMP on iOS, and the TD Accelerate Program. In addition, she is a certified SPEAK OUT!® provider, supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease in strengthening their voice and communication.

Kinley loves helping individuals find their voice and build meaningful ways to communicate in their everyday lives. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, exploring new coffee shops, staying active at the gym, and spending quality time with her husband.

Virginia Abou-Awad, Speech-Language Pathologist at Milestones Matter Therapy

Virginia Abou-Awad

Speech-Language Pathologist · M.S., SLP

Virginia is a Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston and her Master of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University.

She began her professional career as a teacher in Houston, where she taught an interdisciplinary IB 5th grade class for five years. She loved her students so much that she still keeps in touch with many of them today. That experience shaped her passion for working with children—Virginia truly believes she is a child at heart and that we all learn best through play.

Virginia is bilingual and fluent in Arabic, and she enjoys supporting families from diverse backgrounds. Through her graduate training and clinical experiences, she has worked with individuals across a variety of settings, including private schools, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation facilities. She has supported clients with a wide range of diagnoses, including mild to severe syndromes and disorders, as well as traumatic and acquired brain injuries.

Her clinical interests include traumatic brain injury, neurogenic communication disorders, and fluency. Virginia is passionate about helping each individual find their voice and believes that every win, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.

As a Houston native, Virginia takes great pride in her city and loves being part of this community. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, playing tennis, trying new restaurants, traveling, drinking coffee, and spending quality time with her husband and her little boy.

Carmen Fahey, Speech-Language Pathologist at Milestones Matter Therapy

Carmen Fahey

Speech-Language Pathologist · M.A., CCC-SLP

Carmen is a Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University in 1984 and later pursued her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston in 2010. During her graduate studies, she received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award and was honored to be a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Carmen has a strong interest in assessment and has dedicated herself to collaborative evaluations of elementary-aged children. She has extensive experience completing Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) and truly enjoys piecing together the puzzle to better understand each child’s unique strengths and areas of need. She brings specialized skills in gathering meaningful background information, analyzing assessment data, and providing clear, concise reports. Carmen is also passionate about helping families understand evaluation results in a way that feels supportive, informative, and actionable.

In addition to her work in private practice, Carmen has experience in the public school system as both an elementary and preschool-based SLP. She has provided assessment and therapy for children with a variety of speech and language needs, including autism and stuttering.

She values building strong connections with families and helping each child reach their full communication potential through thoughtful, individualized care.

Liz Aussenberg, Speech-Language Pathologist at Milestones Matter Therapy

Liz Aussenberg

Speech-Language Pathologist · M.A., CCC-SLP

Liz is a Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in 1980 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from George Washington University in 1981.

She has a strong interest in working with medically involved patients and began her career in Houston at the U.T. Speech and Hearing Institute. Through this role, she had the opportunity to treat patients at TIRR, Hermann Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of medical settings.

Over the years, Liz has worked in numerous nursing home facilities throughout Houston, as well as with Project Head Start and several private schools. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan with a variety of communication and swallowing needs.

Her areas of expertise include neurogenic communication disorders, head and neck cancer, voice and fluency disorders, cleft palate, oral-motor deficits, swallowing disorders, and velopharyngeal insufficiency. Liz is passionate about helping each individual improve their communication and quality of life through personalized, functional care.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her adult children, and her many grandchildren.

Jenny Honeybourne

Jenny is a Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of St. Thomas. Before becoming an SLP, Jenny worked as a Montessori teacher at the early childhood level. It was during this time that she saw firsthand the powerful impact speech therapy can have on a child’s academic success and social development, which inspired her to pursue this field. She later earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston.

Jenny has experience working in both private clinic settings and the public school system, supporting children from preschool through high school. She has provided assessment and therapy for a wide range of speech and language needs, including receptive and expressive language, speech sound disorders, and pragmatic language/social communication.

She is passionate about helping children build the communication skills they need to succeed in school and in their everyday lives, and she values working closely with families to support meaningful progress.

Outside of work, Jenny loves spending time with her husband and her son.

Sarah is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who works with children from early childhood through school age, as well as young adults up to age 22. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Texas A&M University in 2020 and her Master’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University in 2023.

Sarah has experience in both school and private practice settings and supports a wide range of communication needs, including articulation, language delays, autism, fluency, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She has a strong passion for AAC and has completed extensive training in a variety of access methods, including switch use, to help each individual communicate in the way that works best for them.

Her therapy approach is a thoughtful blend of structured and play-based, child-led intervention. She prioritizes each child’s interests and incorporates sensory needs to create engaging, meaningful sessions. Sarah values strong collaboration with families and believes that empowering caregivers is key to lasting progress.

Sarah is passionate about helping every individual find their voice and build confidence as a communicator. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
